The classic El Bizcocho at Rancho Bernardo Inn closed, giving way to a rustic newcomer. After a $2.5 million renovation, AVANT, under chef Nicolas Bour, promises a charcuterie station, homemade mustards and menu items like Sonoma duck breast confit Shepard’s Pie.
