El Bizcocho Beer vs. Wine Dinner: El Bizcocho restaurant at the Rancho Bernardo Inn hosts the sixth annual dinner, which allows diners to choose whether beer or wine makes the best pairing for five dishes, including grilled black buck antelope and royal red shrimp ceviche, at 6 p.m. Oct. 5. Stone Brewing Co. will be back to defend its title. For those who anticipate over-imbibing, the hotel is offering a “stay and dine” package that includes the dinner for two and a room for the night priced from $399 (or from $599 for the VIP package).
