It's hard to believe that summer is here. No matter how grown up we may be, there's something about this season and the longer days that fills us with excitement.
There's so much to take advantage of. We're excited to introduce our new Executive Chef Nicolas Bour, who oversees all restaurants at the Inn. We're not the only ones who feel lucky to have him - he was invited to be a part of Taste of the Derby, a charity event preceding the Kentucky Derby this past May. Nicolas inherited his passion for simple, fresh ingredients while being raised on an organic farm and, with this top of mind, he's been making some tweaks to El Bizcocho's menu. Make sure to check them out and be on the look-out for more in our Dining Odyssey series.
Our summer calendar includes events for everyone. In fact, we've launched new getaway packages, including a romantic spa retreat, the Hidden Vineyard Escape Package and Look What's Brewing Package — showcasing our local, passionate spirits creators — and have brought back our famous Kids Rule, Parents Drool package so our smaller neighbors can reign supreme at the Inn. In addition, there's a Teens Only package, to make everyone happy.
Summer will also include the release of our spectacular new spa menu. Whether you're enjoying a spa day with close girlfriends or looking for a new twist on 'happy hours', you won't want to miss our new organic and signature treatments, many featuring elements straight from our own garden. Come get pampered with us.
I live close to the Inn and walk through our beautiful neighborhoods as often as I can with our dog Rudy. He serves as a great ambassador and I meet lots of new friends during these jaunts. Often I hear how much you all enjoy the Inn and what intrigues you the most. Please come by and introduce yourself during your next visit. I love meeting new neighbors and catching up with those I know. For me, it's a pleasure to serve.
Sincerely,
Maureen 'Mo' Carew
